It’s a curious drink, muddled with cucumbers and fresh dill plus a squeeze of lime then blended with St~Germain and gin. Finish with a light pour of simple syrup – the nectar of the South – and you’ve got an unexpected yet refreshing cocktail at your fingertips!
Don’t let the name fool you. The first time I heard of it, my mind immediately raced towards dill pickles. But it’s nothing of the kind. This cocktail has been around for some time and though many recipes call for vodka or tequila the flavor of Plymouth gin works so wonderfully well with fresh dill and cucumber.
These fresh ingredients are muddled together in the glass before being joined by the floral scented St~Germain, the botanical notes of gin, a touch of lime juice and polished with a touch of simple syrup.
Bright, blue skies with the warmth of the sun – it’s the perfect weather for a beautiful, crisp cocktail!
