2 baking sheets lined with wax paper
Ingredients
2cupssugar
3tablespoonscocoa powder
½cupbutter
½cupmilk
3cupsquick cooking oats
½cupcreamy peanut butter
1teaspoonpure vanilla extract
Instructions
Line 2 large baking sheets with wax paper.
In a medium saucepan whisk the sugar together with the cocoa powder.
Add the butter and milk. Cook over medium-low heat until the sugar has dissolved, and the butter is melted, stirring occasionally.
Raise the heat to medium and bring the mixture to a rolling boil; boil for 1 minute and remove from heat.
Stir in the oatmeal, vanilla extract and peanut butter.
Using a small ice cream scoop or teaspoon, drop onto the waxpaper. Cookies will set as they cool.
Notes
A rolling boil is a vigorous boil, appearing to roll across the surface.
