Frosty Chocolate Latte

Take your morning espresso on a rich, thick and frosty journey. With a touch of chocolate and a layer of creaminess from sweet ripe bananas, it’s a wonderful way to kick off your day!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk
  • ¾ cup espresso or strong coffee, cooled to room temperature
  • 3 frozen bananas, broken into pieces
  • ¼ cup chopped bittersweet chocolate, plus extra for garnish
  • 1-½ cups ice
  • Simple syrup or vanilla flavored syrup, optional

Instructions
 

  • Pour the milk and cooled espresso into the canister of a blender.
  • Add the frozen bananas and the bittersweet chocolate. Blend, starting on low speed for about 15 to 20 seconds then on medium-high until very smooth.
  • Add the ice and blend on medium-high until very smooth, about 30 to 60 seconds.
  • Add simple syrup or vanilla sweetener if you like your latte a bit on the sweet side.
  • Top with a sprinkling of chopped bittersweet chocolate.

Notes

You can also make the espresso using espresso powder.
