Date Smoothies

Dates are naturally sweet with an almost caramel like flavor and they make the most luscious smoothie imaginable!
Course Breakfast, Brunch, Drinks
Servings 2 large or 4 small drinks

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup vanilla yogurt
  • ½ cup milk
  • cup chopped pitted dates
  • 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 3 frozen bananas
  • 1 ripe banana

Instructions
 

  • Pour the milk into a blender followed by yogurt.
  • Add the chopped dates and the peanut butter.
  • Cut the frozen and the ripe banana into thirds, add to the blender.
  • Process, starting on low, for about 10 seconds then on high speed for about 20 to 30 seconds until the dates are puréed and the drink is very smooth.
  • Serve well chilled.
