Irish Whiskey Affogato
This luscious cocktail boasts both Irish whiskey and Irish cream to get things started. Then throw in a generous splash of dark roast coffee poured over a scoop of luscious coffee ice cream, topped with a cloud of whipped cream and you have a concoction that's sure to please!
Servings 1 generous cocktail
- 3 tablespoons good Irish whiskey, such as Teeling Small Batch
- 2 tablespoons Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 1 or 2 scoops coffee ice cream
- 6 tablespoons hot dark roast coffee
- Whipped cream and chopped bittersweet chocolate for garnish
Pour the Irish whiskey and the Irish cream into a large highball or mug, stirring to mix.
Gently add the ice cream on top of the spirits.
Slowly pour the hot coffee over the ice cream.
Top with a dollop of whipped cream.
Add a sprinkling of the chopped chocolate if desired.
